Stupid Ned Stark

I'd just say. People read books to understand philosophy and perspective of Ned Stark. Just read the chapters in named EDDARD in the first book, you'll never mock him again. It is never easy to live with honor. And if you think honor is a stupid thing, then you need people like Cersei and Aerys Targaryen who burn people.

When you'll read the conversation between Robert and Ned on Robert's deathbed, then you understand that Cersei and other never understood what Ned and Robert meant to each other. They were more than friends, they were like brothers. And Ned would never disgrace Robert's family. And that's what it shows, that people obsessed with power and wealth never understand meaning of friendship, honor, justice and love. Cersei may have been pretending to be symbol of love, but she is not. She is just too insecure, jealous and obsessed.

Living with honor is not everyone's cup of tea. Even if he died, he died fighting for truth. Even Cersei will die someday, but it would always be a shameful death for her. G R R Martin here shows how some people live with greed and obsessions and terrify the world, and how some people understands the meaning of being a human. And if people can't stand your honor, then it is good to be dead instead of watching the mud spread across the world.
